The Best “All-in-One” of 2020

According to one computer reviewer the top six “All-in-One” computers of 2020 are

● Asus Zen AiO Pro Z240IE – Best overall
● Acer Aspire Z24 – Best in value
● Apple iMac with 5K Retina Display – Best for photo and video editing
● Microsoft Surface Studio 2 – Best for artists
● Apple iMac Pro – Best for pros
● Dell XPS 27 7760 – Best 4K with great sound

What’s an “All-in-One” you say? Well though it sounds desirable I must admit I wasn’t quite sure myself. Turns out that when it comes to computers an “All-in-One” is a desktops computer that integrates all its component parts into the monitor itself. In other words, there is no CPU, no big box of brains standing beside the monitor. All that stuff is in the incredibly compact design of the monitor.

But computers aside we do like the idea of simplification, of reducing multiples into “handy” or “all purpose” singularities. There’s the ‘3-in-1’ this, the ‘5-in-1’ that, and of course virtually everyone’s bond to their cell-phone — the king of all “all-in-ones.” Essentialism or Minimalism are fast becoming lifestyle trends that focus on paring back to the things deemed most important.

This past Sunday Don Longworth challenged us to take a good hard look at that “All-in-One” which forms the summation of our heart and soul’s desire. He cited two examples for us from scripture, one Old Testament and one New Testament.

David: “One thing I ask from the Lord, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the Lord and to seek him in his temple.” (Ps. 27:4)

Paul: “I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord …I want to know Christ… one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.” (Phil. 3:8, 10, 13-14).

As another author more recently put it, “God’s answer to any problem is His Presence.”*

Jesus is the best “All-in-One” package you can get of anything — in 2020 or at any time. Have you found Him to be so in your life? Have you looked to Him so that you might find Him?

Paul writes, “…the world or life or death or the present or the future—all are yours, and you are of Christ, and Christ is of God.” (1 Cor. 3:22-23).

Got Christ? You’ve got everything! — Or better yet: Christ got you?
